David Lehmann, a Fine Arts graduate from the University of Arts in Berlin and former master student of Valerie Favre, is an artist currently based in Cottbus. His work is characterized by a dynamic interplay of opposites: wit meets gravity, color contrasts with form, and figuration exists alongside abstraction. Through a layered approach, Lehmann weaves together art-historical references with contemporary themes, creating a dialogue between past and future. His pieces often feature his artistic alter ego, blending personal and universal themes to explore the boundaries of technique and content.
